Why is RFID so popular?

Configuration of remote Radio Frequency Identification system.
Before studying the principle of remote RFID, we must first study the structure of RFID. The RFID system consists of three parts: electronic tags, readers, computers and their applications. Electronic tags are mainly composed of built-in antennas and circuit chips, which have the function of communicating with RF antennas. The reader is mainly composed of antenna, control unit, wireless transceiver front end and communication interface. Its main function is to read or write the information of the electronic tag.

The functions of the computer and the application software are connected with the external computer or the upper master station system through the communication interface of the reader to realize data exchange. The working principle of remote RFID, reader and electronic tag constitutes the transponder, and its working principle is as follows. The reader sends the radio wave energy of a specific frequency to the transponder, drives the transponder circuit to send internal data, and the reader receives the interpretation data in turn, and processes the application program accordingly.

According to the characteristics of remote RFID system, passive remote RFID system has two working frequency bands: UHF and 2.45GHz. The reading and writing distance of passive UHF system is more than 10 meters, which is much more than 2.45 GHz system, so it has become the mainstream part of remote recognition system. Its main advantages are as follows:
Real-time: real-time response, automatically read the ID card number, you can get information.
Anti-counterfeiting: the formed microwave display screen is not forged, unchanged or copied.
Networking: monitoring logistics through a computer network.
Accuracy: the accuracy of reading information is up to 99.99%.
Low cost: it can be used for only a few dollars.
Reliability: withstand dust, moisture and other adverse environmental conditions.
Long service life: no battery, only passive card, no lifetime maintenance.

The remote RFID system adopts wireless transmission mode, and the wireless environment is extremely complex, so there are many factors that affect the reading and writing distance of the remote RFID system, mainly as follows:
1. The main factors that affect the read-write distance of RF card are RF output power, reflected energy, RF card consumption power, reader receiving energy and reception sensitivity.
2. The effective receiving and reflecting cross-sectional area of the RF card antenna and the effective receiving antenna area of the reader affect the above indicators.
3. The higher the frequency, the smaller the range of the passive radio frequency identification system.

RFID has been widely used in domestic financial payment, identification, traffic management, military security, asset management, anti-theft and counterfeiting, finance, logistics, industrial control and other fields, and has entered the stage of large-scale application in some fields. With the further maturity of RFID technology and the further reduction of cost, RFID technology began to be used in various industries.
