FAQ:

1.Is there an app for reading pet microchips?

Free scanning: If the pet has a FDX-B microchip implanted, PetScanner will be able to read the microchip and display the chip number alongside these 3 possible scenarios when you scan a pet: If it is registered with PetScanner, it will display the contact details of the owner.

2.How do you identify an animal microchip?

To ensure that an implanted animal is identified, the scanning procedure should be done for a minimum of 10 seconds (longer if possible) and on two consecutive occasions before an animal is declared negative for the presence of a microchip. If possible, repeat the scanning process using a different reader.

3.How do I scan my pets microchip?

You should spend between 10-20 seconds scanning each animal, scanning no more than 6 inches per second. Begin between the shoulder blades. This is the area where microchips are implanted, but they occasionally migrate. Scan between the shoulders all the way from one shoulder to the other several times
